Dr Richardy Hostiadi was born in Indonesia and moved to Australia in 1997. He still speaks Bahasa Indonesia fluently.  Dr Hostiadi completed Bachelor of Science majoring in Computational Biology at the University of Queensland and then went on to do a Bachelor of Nursing.  He moved to Sydney in 2005 and worked as Registered Nurse at St Vincent Hospital for two years.

Dr Hostiadi spent time in the corporate sector as an Insurance assessor (Workers Comp, CTP, Life insurance, Income Protection and TPD) whilst at same time finishing a Master in professional accounting.  He was then accepted into Medicine at the University of Queensland and finished the MBBS in 2013. He worked at Royal Brisbane Hospital in wide ranging areas such as ED, Cardiology, Pain Clinic, Mental Health, Rehab Medicine, Rural Relieving before got accepted into General Practice training which was completed in 2017.

Dr Hostiadi also completed a Diploma in Child Health.  He has been working in General Practice mainly in Gatton from 2016.

Dr Hostiadi’s special interest areas are:

• Skin cancer medicine and surgery – Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and Skin Cancer surgery (Health cert)
• Musculoskeletal Medicine – Certificate in Musculoskeletal Medicine and completed acupuncture course from Australian Medical Acupuncture College

Dr Hostiadi is a passionate believer in Lifestyle Medicine, in which the doctor is a health coach to assist the patient in optimising their health, not only by using medicine but mainly by optimising patients’ lifestyle, through the right diet, exercise and managing mental health.

He always tries to practice this healthy lifestyle approach, and therefore ensures to eat right, exercise right and have the right mindset.  He has completed 2 Half Marathons, 2 Full Marathons and a few obstacle courses with a future goal to complete a triathlon.

Living locally with his wife, he feels blessed with two young boys.  He is also a passionate dog lover.
