Anti-wrinkle treatment uses only very fine needle which means minimal discomfort is felt. The injection blocks the nerve impulses in the injected muscles, and this prevents them from contracting when facial expressions are made. Even if wrinkles don’t entirely disappear, they eventually soften creating a more youthful look.
Effective treatment for frown lines typically involves 5 injections. Treatment of other areas may need more injections. Normal activities can be resumed swiftly after the treatment. The initial effects of an anti-wrinkle treatment will begin to appear in 2 to 3 days, but the maximum effect may take from 1 to 3 weeks to become established. The effects can last from 3 to 4 months and may last longer with repeated treatments over time.
After the procedure, you may notice mild swelling or redness around the injection points, which usually settles after a few minutes.
Note: Anti-wrinkle treatments should not be used while you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It may not be suitable for you if you are taking certain medications or have any conditions that cause muscular weakness.
