Supporting the health of School Communities
Access to a GP or primary healthcare provider within community schools plays a crucial role in supporting children’s health and well-being.
Top Health Doctors is proud to be part of this initiative, with our dedicated doctors and nurse practitioners providing school-based healthcare in nine schools across Brisbane. By making quality healthcare more accessible, we help ensure students receive the support they need to thrive—both in and out of the classroom.
GP's in School Program
Top Health Doctors is proud to contribute to the GPs in Schools Program, an initiative supporting 50 participating state secondary schools across Queensland. Through this program, our medical centres have several general practitioners (GPs) delivering, one-day-per-week healthcare services to students. By removing barriers to timely and appropriate medical care, this initiative ensures young people have access to the support they need to stay healthy and engaged in their education. Our dedicated doctors are committed to improving student well-being, empowering them to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
Health Practitioners in Primary Schools Program
Top Health Doctors is proud to be part of the Queensland Government Health Practitioners in Primary Schools Program, offering bulk-billed healthcare services to students one day per week at selected state primary schools. As one of 20 participating providers across Queensland, our experienced nurse practitioners will be available to assess and address health concerns that may impact student learning. When necessary, they can provide direct referrals to medical specialists and allied health professionals to ensure children receive the care they need. We are delighted to support this valuable initiative and will have dedicated health practitioners at three Brisbane schools, helping to create healthier school communities.
