Shane originally trained as a Registered Nurse in Western Australia in 2000. I worked across critical care and emergency departments in Australia and the UK. I also had the opportunity to work within pharmacovigilance for Sandoz in Germany. Following this I decided to undertake a Masters in Nurse Practitioner from Flinders University and obtained endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner in 2012. I have worked across a range of settings from tertiary hospitals to rural and regional primary health as a Nurse Practitioner.

I moved to the Gold Coast and completed a Masters in Dentistry from Griffith University in 2019. I have worked in a range of dental settings from private practice to indigenous health and both pediatric and geriatric mobile dental clinics.

I enjoy splitting my time between working as a dentist and working as a Nurse Practitioner. My interests are oral and dental health, primary health, occupational health, chronic disease management, and special needs populations
