Dr Pummi Roy graduated from India with MBBS, excelling in public health and dermatology and worked in several countries as a doctor before relocating to Australia in 2005. She initially worked at the Royal Perth Hospital for 4 years and then moved to Queensland to continue working at The Townsville Hospital.
In 2016, she joined Townsville Aboriginal and Islander Health Service (TAIHS) as full time General Practitioner and moved down south to Brisbane to complete her training.
As a doctor, she has extensive experience in all areas of clinical medicine- especially chronic disease management, geriatrics, mental health and women’s health.
She performs basic skin procedures and Implanon insertions/ removals.
Dr Roy is very friendly, understanding and dedicated to her patients and is also proficient in Hindi and English.
She enjoys the diversity of General Practice, listening to music and playing with Murphy, her little beagle.
Special interests: Chronic disease management, geriatrics, mental health and women’s health.
